MAINTENANCE & CARE

Caring for Hardwax Oiled floors is super easy. They require very little day-to-day upkeep. Regular sweeping and vacuuming, along with the occasional cleaning (as with any other wood floor), is often enough to keep it looking fabulous. High-reparability is the biggest advantage of Hardwax Oil finishes. With an ever-growing market of maintenance products available to you, it is important to select the right products for your floors. There are a number of oils which are specifically designed for Hardwax Oiled floors. Each will suggest a different maintenance schedule. We tend to base our schedule on how “thirsty” the floor is looking. High traffic areas can benefit from a little extra oil, so perhaps require more frequent replenishing than the rest of the floor.

REFINISHING HARDWAX OILED FLOORS

Hardwax Oil finishes enjoy a full renewal procedure every three to five years, depending on the overall look of the floors. Replenishing Hardwax Oiled floors is luckily just as easy as maintaining them.  Products such as CIRANOVA Maintenance Oil can be used to replenish your floors, and the best part is that you can do this all by yourself.
